Charleston, WV – 120 delegates to the 2012 National Youth Science Camp will be arriving in West Virginia on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The delegates will stay overnight in Charleston, touring local scientific sites, and receive a lecture from former MIT president Dr. Charles Vest.  The Delegates will then travel to Camp Pocahontas for the remainder of the program.

Delegates are selected from the top performing high-school science graduates, and are asked to represent their state to the National Camp, located at Camp Pocahontas, near Bartow, WV.  There, delegates spend 4 weeks attending academically rigorous seminars and lectures from leading scientists from around the world.
