Contributions to the National Youth Science Foundation help support the operation of the National Youth Science Camp and allow the Foundation to offer programs of similar focus for different audiences such as the Youth Science Leadership Institute. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Contributions to the Foundation can be dedicated to the Foundation’s general operations, to a specific science education program, or to an established fund. The Foundation accepts contributions from individuals and corporations and foundations . Contributions are recognized in the Foundation's Annual Report and online in the Current Donors List.

Funds

Adler Endowment Fund

The Adler Endowment Fund, created in honor of Isidore and Annie Adler, is dedicated to the operation of the National Youth Science Camp. The Adler Endowment Fund accepts cash, pledges, stocks or bonds, land, book royalty donations and other creative proposals. The principle of the fund is invested, and in time the interest will be drawn to aid in the operation of NYSC. To date, no interest nor principle has been expended as the fund is in the development phase.

National Center for Youth Science Education Construction and Operating Endowment Fund

The Construction and Operating Endowment Fund is dedicated to supporting the establishment and operation of the National Center for Youth Science Education and consists of two components. The construction component of the fund will support the planning, design, and construction phase of this monumental project.  An estimate of constructions costs is currently being developed. The operating endowment component of the fund will be dedicated to sustaining the annual operations of the Center once it is constructed.  An estimate of annual operating expenses is currently being developed.

Funds In Memoriam

The Foundation graciously accepts contributions made in memory of deceased individuals.  Recognition of these donations is made in the Foundation’s Annual Report (available upon request).  It is common for contributions to be made in the memory of deceased alumni, staph, or educators whose legacy is consistent with the mission of the Foundation. Please contact the Foundation with any special requests.

Mr. Jonathon David Hanson Mr. Jonathon Hanson, NYSC WV 2003, died March 28, 2006.

Pvt. Benjamin Cavender, US Army Pvt. Benjamin 'Ben' Cavender, died December 25, 2005.

Land Donations: Contact the NYSF. Specify the location and a rough estimate of the cash value.

Book Royalties: Several individuals have donated all or part of the profits they are making on books they have written. Often, the publisher will also consider a matching donation due to the NYSF's nonprofit status. Contact the NYSF.

Pledges: Write or E-mail your pledge to the NYSF. Individuals have made 10-year pledges for $100 through $1000 per year. The NYSF will reply in writing after each donation you make for your tax purposes.
